Here at Townsend Bearings, we stock a wide variety of o-rings in different types of materials such as EPDM, Viton, Nitrile and Silicone.
O-rings are designed to be seated in a groove and compressed by two or more parts during assembly to form a seal. They are one of the most common seals found in machine designs because they are competitively priced and easy to make, reliable and have the simplest mounting requirements.
We stock o-rings in various metric and imperial standard sizes. These sizes are specified by the inside diameter and the cross section (thickness).
Townsend Bearings can supply non standard sizes which are available on request. Special sizes can be moulded and for smaller quantities they can be either butt or scarf jointed.
They are used in a wide range of applications such as agricultural, automotive, food production, marine etc and by using the different materials available can seal against many different types of media and temperatures.
In addition to metric and imperial o-rings we can also offer a variety of o-ring cord in a wide range of materials along with the adhesive to make your own. The cord is available in sizes ranging from 1mm – 8mm thick. We can also supply o-ring splicing kits containing a variety of different sized lengths of o-ring cord and the tools needed to create your own custom sizes.
All of our catalogues are available to download in PDF format. To view our catalogues see links to the main Associated Engineering Products catalogue and main O-Ring sections below.
